Who are we?

We are a community of imperfect people seeking transformation in ourselves and in the world by God’s grace.

We long to discover who we are in Christ by encountering God on Sunday mornings and experiencing rich community.

We aim to extend God’s love and grace to Salt Lake City and the world through hospitality and mercy.

What do we believe?

New Song belongs to the Presbyterian Church in America. We are joyfully committed to applying the historic Reformed faith to our current context.

We believe that God speaks to us through the Bible in the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments.

We believe that God has forever existed as one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that humankind was created to reflect what God is like in the world.

We believe that sin affects all people and all of creation; because of our sin, our relationships with God, with ourselves, with one another, and with creation have been broken. We believe that all people and all the world around us are in need of transformation.

We believe that Jesus Christ is both God and man. He came to earth in order to save us from our sin.

We believe that salvation comes by faith in Jesus, who lived, died, and rose again to restore our relationship with God and to help us be transformed to be more like Him.

We believe that the church is the community of God’s people who are committed to caring for one another, seeking transformation in ourselves, and sharing what we have received with the world.

We believe that Jesus will come to earth again to restore what has been broken in creation and to perfect all those who have faith in Him.
